Earthshaker! Pinball Machine, by Williams, c. 1989,

artwork done by Tim Elliot, designed by Pat Lawlor,
H.- 75 in., W.- 29 in., D.- 54 in.

  • Provenance: The Estate of Joseph A. Jaeger, Jr., New Orleans, LA.
  • Condition: This machine has been assessed and inspected by a third-party outside repair professional and has been assessed to be in very good working order and overall good condition to the case. Instruction manual is present. The machine turns fully on and engages in all aspects of play. Coin slot functions. All lights and targets are currently operational and functioning. Though one round plastic front for a target is currently lacking and easily replaceable. Lights have been replaced with modern LEDs. The playfield could use a good cleaning to increase the smoothness of play. There are several segments on the alphanumeric display that are missing. During play mode, the motor to shake the machine still functions very well. There is rust and oxidation to many metal components, including the legs and bolts. Legs can be replaced or rechromed if desired. Two keys are present, including one corresponding to the lock on the right side of the backbox. The back glass artwork is in excellent condition, retaining vibrant color and clarity. However, the wooden frame housing the back glass exhibits paint cracking, nicks, chips, and losses throughout, especially concentrated at the corners and edges, and an area on the inside edge of both the left and right sides show cracking and attempted repairs. The losses have been overpainted with inconsistent color matching to hide the wood. The sides of the cabinet show scuffing, abrasions, accretions, and impact marks, including minor dents. Additionally, the covering is lifting where each leg is affixed. The front section, especially around the coin door, shows significant wear, including various nicks and indentations, color fading, rust on metal elements, and dirt accumulation. The plastic surfaces exhibit scratches, abrasions, marks, and general wear. In overall good condition to the case and very good condition for the playability. An entertaining offering.
