French Louis Philippe Style Carved Walnut Commode, 19th c., the canted corner top over four drawers flanked by chamfered stiles, on a plinth base, on block feet, H.- 32 in., W.- 33 in., D.- 18 3/4 in.

Condition: Condition consistent with age and use. Wear is noted to the top appearing as white heat/moisture exposure in two areas, wood-fill repairs, scratches, gouges, dents and general wear. Some mild chips to the veneer is observed inconsistently near the drawer corners. The keys present do not appear to be working but all drawers are unlocked and observed opening. One lock interior is noted as likely broken. The side panels are observed with humidity cracking that is consistent with the unusual figure of the wood. A handsome example.
