French Louis XVI Style Carved Walnut Marble Top Sideboard, 20th c., the figured white ogee edge cookie corner white marble top over three drawers, the center one over a setback double cupboard door, flanked by two setback cupboard doors within reeded pilasters, on a plinth base on turned tapered cylindrical legs, H.- 40 1/2 in., W.- 74 in., D.- 23 1/2 in.


  • Condition: Condition is consistent with age and use. Dings and surface scratches can be found throughout. The marble is in generally good condition, but there is one crack measuring 3 1/2 inches on the top left. A minor water discoloration is present on the wood on the left side near the base. On the top left side, there is a 14 1/4 inch crack that spans across the inset wood piece. Additionally, a smaller crack measuring approximately 7 inches long can be found on the right side near the base. Multiple losses can be observed in the lower wood molding on the front, with additional surface scratches in that area. Four keys are present, two of which are the same and can unlock the bottom left and right cabinets. All locks are in working order. The left cabinet contains two interior shelves, one of which is partially missing the element attached at the end and this element is entirely missing from the second shelf.
