Group of Three Limoges Porcelain Hand-Painted Pill Boxes, 20th c., of book, present, and bird house on stand form, Bird House- H.- 4 1/4 in., W.- 2 in., D.- 1 1/2 in.


  • Condition: Condition consistent with age and use. Book- Gilt is almost entirely lacking from the metal frame. Clear, flaking residue is observed on the frame. Sticker residue is noted on the underside. An approximate 5 mm streak of brown residue is observed in the painted decoration. Present- Heavy wear is observed to the gilt on the metal frame. An approximate 1 cm area of sticker residue is noted on the underside. Moderate wear is observed on the bow. A flea-size spot of white residue is seen on one side. Slight craquelure is observed throughout. Thinner consistency is seen in the red paint on two corners. Bird House- Heavy wear is observed on the gilt. The porcelain top of the bird house is separate from the frame. An approximate 1 cm area of sticker residue is noted on the roof. The stand is slightly bent to the right. A cute trio.
