Note: Louisiana-born artist, Joe Price was a renowned silkscreen artist. Born February 6, 1935 in Ferriday, Louisiana, he attended Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois receiving a Bachelor of Science in 1957 and did his graduate work at Stanford University. For many years he was a member of the art faculty of the College of San Mateo, California. Price is famous for creating serigraphs using an average of 70 screens.
