Pair of Old Paris Porcelain Figural Room Scenters, 19th c., depicting a hunter and a maiden, with polychromed decoration, each wearing a beret, on integral white porcelain bases with gilt tracery and floral reserves, Hunter- H.- 11 in., W.- 4 1/8 in., D.- 3 1/4 in. Provenance: The Estate of Sidney J. Mazarat III, New Orleans, Louisiana.


  • Condition: Condition consistent with age. Light to moderate wear to gilt on both figures, especially the top corners and the back of the clothing. Three approximate 1 cm cracks on interior of both bases. Hunter- Proper right pointer finger lacking. Approximate 1/4 inch chip to back. A charming pair.
