  • Provenance: From the Collection of Michael Dudley Williams, Sr., Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
  • Literature: The original Judice Family Table was found in the Ursuline Convent in New Orleans and is widely known as the most published form of Louisiana colonial furniture, first gaining admiration on the cover of Jessie J. Poesch's "Early Furniture of Louisiana," Louisiana State Museum, 1972. Later appearing again in Holden, Bacot, Gontar, et al, "Furnishing Louisiana: Creole and Acadian Furniture, 1735-1835," fig 17 page 258.
  • Condition: Structurally sound. Both with mellow even finishes, close but vary. Overall, good condition, very minor abrasions to tops. Some chips, nicks, and marks, overall a few indentations and imperfections. Some flaws from manufacturing process. Scarce offering.
